The passing of Mrs David Clark on Wednesday, January 28 will be noted with regret by a wide circle of friends and acquaintances throughout the district. She was in her 78th year. The deceased was Margaret Munro, a duaghter of the late Mr and Mrs Hugh Munro and was born at Halls Mills, coming to Almonte while quite a young girl. She was married to David Clark and for over 50 years resided in the town of Almonte where, by her kindley disposition and many noble qualities she won for herself a very wide cirle of friends. She is survived by her husband, 2 sons and 2 daughters all of whom were present at the funeral on Friday, January 30 to the Auld Kirk Cemetery. Mr Hugh Clark of Cardross, Saskatchewan, Mr Bert Clark of the Civil Service, Ottawa, Mrs Charles Comba, of Toronto, Miss Hattie Clark of Edwards, Ontario together with the husband who are left to mourn her loss. She also leaves five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. The late Mrs Clark had been in poor health for several years but was only confined to her bed during the last four weeks. Alife long member of Trinity Church, the funeral which was largely attended, was conducted by Rev A.J. Terrill, who paid tribute to the long and useful life of the departed. The pallbearers were her two sons, Hugh and Bert Clark; Mr John Kearney, a nephew; Robert Munro, a brother; Mr C Comba, a son-in-law and Mr Allan Comba, a grandson. Those attending the funeral from a distance wer: Hugh Clark of Cardross, Saskatchewan; Mr Bert Clark of Ottawa; Miss Hattie clark of Edwards; Mrs A.W. Dunley, nee Gladys Comba of Stratford, Ontario; and Mr and Mrs C Comba of Toronto.

Mrs James Schoular
There passed to rest at her home on Farm Street, on Saturday last, a highly respected resident of the town in the person of Mrs James Schoular, after an illness of more than two years. Mrs Schoular was the former Miss Margaret McKay and was born in Lanark Township in 1862, a daughter of the late William McKay and his wife Ann Pretty, descendants of pioneers of that district. In June 1890, she married James Schoular and they resided in Arnprior for a time, coming to Almonte, 26 years ago. Mr Schoular died two years later. Surviving are three daughters and three sons, Mrs Harry Cameron of Arnprior; Miss Elizabeth Schoular of the teaching staff of the Almonte Public School; Miss Della Schoular of Almonte; William Schoular, C.P.R., Smiths Falls; James Schoular, of St Hyacinthe, Que; Alex Schoular of Almonte, and three sisters and four brothers, Mrs Duncan Hamilton of Carleton Place; Mrs William Dunlop, Union Hall; Mrs Peter McDougall of Blakeney; Alex McKay, Middleville; Daniel and George McKay, Arnprior, and Nelson McKay, Almonte. Mrs Schoular was a valued member of Bethany United Church and also a member of the Women's Missionary Society. The funeral was held on Monday, Sept 7, from her late residence and was largely attended by relatives and friends. Rev W.J. Scott, pastor of Bethany United Church officiated. The pallbearers were Messrs W.W. Watchorn, Martin Maxwell, E.H. Farnham, John Miller, John McDonald and Howard Giles. Among the beautiful floral tributes were wreaths from the weaving department of the Rosamond Woolen Co Limited; Tweed department of Penman's Limited, St Hyacinthe, Que; Mississippi Lodge No 147 A.F. & A.M., and the teaching staff of Almonte Public School. Interment was in the Auld Kirk Cemetery.

The funeral of Elizabeth Ann McKay, wife of John T. Robertson of Ottawa, was held last Tuesday from the home of her sister, Mrs Margaret Schoular, Almonte, where service was conducted by Rev C.D. McLellan of Bethany Church, Almonte. Interment was made in the Auld Kirk cemetery. The pallbearers were William, Alex and James Schoular, Hartley McKay, Nelson and Norman Dunlop, all nephews of the deceased. Deceased passed away at her home at Ottawa, on Sunday, Sept 16th. Mrs Robertson, was in her 64th year, the first break in a family of ten. She was a daughter of the late William McKay and Annie Pretty, pioneers of Lanark township, and was born in Lanark township. There she was married. About 36 years ago she moved to Arnprior with her husband. They lived there for about twenty years and then moved to Ottawa. The chief mourners are, besides her husband and daughter, Meda, of Ottawa, one son, Earle, of Simcoe; also five brothers, Alex McKay, Middleville; Daniel and George McKay, Arnprior; William McKay; Bridgeford, Sask.; Nelson McKay, Almonte, and four sisters, Mrs William Dunlop, Mrs Peter McDougal and Mrs Margaret Schoular, Almonte, and Mrs D. The death of Mrs Esther Sarah McDougall of R.R. No 3, Almonte, occurred suddenly at the Almonte General Hospital on Saturday, January 24, 1976, in her 94th year. Born in Lanark Township on November 19, 1882, she was a daughter of the late William McKay and his wife Annie Pretty. She was married at Middleville in June, 1906, to the late Peter McDougall. She was a member of the United Church. Mrs McDougall is survived by two sons, Clifford and Willard, both of Almonte, and eight daughters: Annie (Mrs Thos Pierce), Pakenham; Blanche (Mrs Lyle Pretty), Pickering; Myrtle (Mrs F. Mitchell), Perth; Helen (Mrs Ben Miller), Toronto; Audrey (Mrs Wm Brown), Carleton Place; Muriel (Mrs A. Lowry), Belleville; Mabel (Mrs Jack Noonan) Perth, and Doreen (Mrs Howard Barr), Almonte. One daughter, Lena, is deceased. She is also survived by 39 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. The funeral was held from the Comba Funeral Home on Monday, January 26, at 2.00 p.m. with interment at Auld Kirk Cemetery. Rev Robert McCrea conducted the funeral services. The pallbearers were grandsons, Jack Mitchell, Toni Noonan, Dale McDougall, Don Pierce, Don Miller and Darwyn Barr.

Robert McKay
Robert Welland McKay died Dec 4, 1980 at the Almonte Nursing Home. Welland was the son of the late Thomas McKay and his wife Annie Rintoul. He was born in Lanark Township September 16, 1884. He received his education at Hall's Mills School, and Attended the Presbyterian Church in Middleville. On Wednesday May 4, 1910 Robert Welland McKay married the late Nellie Mabel Rodger daughter of the late Mr and Mrs J.H. Rodger of Middleville. The Rev A.D. Fraser officiated. Mr and Mrs McKay lived on their 300-acre farm across the road from his father's farm on the 7th line of Lanark, until March 1929 when they moved to the farm in Ramsay township. They retired in March 1952 and lived on St George Street, Almonte. After the death of his wife in February 21, 1961, his late brother Charles McKay came to live with him until May 24, 1974. Welland then moved to the Cowan Nursing, until November 17, 1976, when he moved to the Wilmart Nursing Home. On July 13, 1980 he came to reside in the new Almonte Nursing Home until his death. Welland was a faithful member of St John's Presbyterian Church, Almonte. He leaves a son, James Alexander McKay of Almonte, Ten grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. His oldest son, Thomas Wilbert McKay, died ten years ago, also his four brothers, and four sisters are deceased, namely John, Alexander, Thomas, and Charles McKay, sisters Margaret (Mrs J.R. Reid); Esther (Mrs Wm Mealy); Mary Ann (Mrs John Robertson) and Hattie (Mrs J.M. Rodger). The funeral was held on Saturday December 6 at 2:30 from the Gamble & Comba Funeral Home, 127 Church Street, thence to the Auld Kirk Cemetery for burial. Rev Edward Smith of St John's Presbyterian Church conducted the service. The pallbearers were his grandson's George Welland, Harold Thomas, Arthur Clare, Ronald Thomas, and John Robert McKay and Anthony Kennedy.

The death of Mrs Harriett (Hattie) Rodger occurred at the Drynan Nursing Home, Almonte, on Tuesday December 5th, in her 82nd year. She had been a resident of the nursing home for ten years. Previously Mrs Rodger resided on Country street. Mrs Rodger was born at Hall's Mills on October 5th, 1886, a daughter of Thomas McKay and Annie Rintoul. She was married in March, 1908, at Middleville, to the late James M. Rodger. She was a member of Almonte Presbyterian Church. Surviving are one son, Roy, and a daughter, Annie, Mrs David Andrews, both of Almonte; two brothers, Welland and Charles McKay, and two sisters, Mrs John R. Reid and Mrs William Mealy of Brandon, Manitoba. The funeral was held from the Comba Funeral Home, Church street, at 2 p.m. on Friday, December 8th, with burial at Auld Kirk Cemetery. ? The death of the late Mrs James Stewart, on Wednesday last, removes one who will be sadly missed, both in the home and the church. Mrs Stewart was the second daughter of Mr and Mrs Daniel Munroe of Clayton, and leaves to mourn her loss, her husband and four little boys, the youngest about fourteen months old. Besides these are the parents, Mr and Mrs Daniel Munroe, and six brothers and one sister ? John of Lanark, Margaret (Mrs A. McNeil) of Naseby, Sask, Hugh of Hopetown, David of Clayton, Wm of Darling, Robert on the homestead, Lanark, and Charles of Clayton. The funeral on Saturday was the largest seen here for some time. The service was conducted at the house and vault by Rev Mr Merrilees, pastor of the deceased. The remains were placed in the vault, The six brothers acted as pallbearers. The sympathy of the whole community goes out to the bereaved ones their sore trial.

The death of Mrs Elizabeth Comba, wife of Charles C. Comba, occurred at the Bethesda Hospital, Toronto, Thursday, December 5th after an illness of over a year. Mrs Comba, daughter of the late Margaret Munro and David Clark, was born in Almonte and received her education here. After her marriage to Charles Comba they lived in Almonte until 1921, when they moved to Toronto where they reside until her death. She was a member of the Methodist Church in Almonte and took an active part in church work. In Toronto, she was a member of St Clair Avenue United Church and of the Women's Association. She was an active member of the Well's Hill Lawn Bowling Club until her recent sickness. Mrs Comba leaves, besides her husband a daughter, Gladys, Mrs A.W. Dunkley, and a son, Allan, both of Toronto. Her other son, Keith, of Stratford, Ont, predeceased her by six months. She also leaves a sister, Hattie Clark of Almonte, and three grandchildren. A funeral service was held in Toronto on Saturday, December 7 after which the remains were brought to Almonte to the Comba Funeral Home, where a service was held on Monday, Dec 9th. Burial took place in the Auld Kirk cemetery.

Bertram Clarke
Suffering a heart attack in Ottawa Monday afternoon, about 4 o'clock, Bertram Clarke, 53-year-old civil servant of 425 Somerset street west, Ottawa, collapsed on the street and died instantly before medical aid could arrive. Mr Clarke, veteran of the First Great War, had been in ill-health for some time and for the past week had not been to work under orders of his physician, Dr M.D. Graham, of the Department of Pensions and National Health. Mr Clarke had resided in Ottawa for the past 23 years and during that time had been employed in the personnel branch of the Department of Transport.

Born in Maine, U.S., he was the son of the late Mr and Mrs David Clarke, and came to Canada 51 years ago. The family settled at Almonte. There, 32 years ago, he married Pearl Illingworth, who survives. Mr Clarke attended the United Church. During the First Great War, Mr Clarke served with the 73rd Regiment from 1914 until 1918.

Besides his widow, he is survived by three daughters: (Jean) Mrs Dan Larocque, Almonte; the Misses Florence and Joan Clarke, Ottawa; a brother, Hugh Clarke, Moose Jaw and two sisters, Mrs Charles Comba of Toronto, and Miss Hattie Clarke, Almonte. The remains were brought to Almonte Tuesday morning and rested at the home of Mr Harry Houston until the funeral Thursday afternoon. Interment was in the Auld Kirk Cemetery. Rev W.J. Scott of Bethany United Church officiated at the services. The pallbearers were three former members of deceased's 73rd Regiment, comrades in the last war, Messrs O.L. James, Jack Joss and Wallace Honeyborne; and W.A. Jamieson, Hal Kirkland and E.J. Lee. Included in the floral tributes were wreaths from Dept of Transport, and Percy St. School, Ottawa an the Almonte Branch of the Canadian Legion.

Widow of Floyd Davis, she was born here Feb. 6, 1896 to Duncan anMary (Munro) McOuatt, attending Bennington schools and graduated from Pittsfield, Mass. High School.
She taught at several schools in the Wimington area and prior to herretirement in 1974 had worked for Smith College and the salvation Army in New York, N.Y.
She then returned to Wilmington and was known for her interest in crafts and for her sewing and quilting. She was a member of the Wilmington Congregational Church, the Ladies Aid and Mayflower chapter of OES. Her husband, whom she married Sept. 12, 1917, died in 1956.
She leaves four sons, a daughter, 21 grandchildren, several great grand-children and neices, nephews and cousins.
The Rev. John P. R. Morgan, minister of the Wilmington Congregational Church, officiated at the service and offered committal prayers at the graveside in Riverview Cemetery, Wilmington.

Cora Yuill made friends all over the world without leaving Lanark County. A prolific writer who at one time kept in contact with close to 100 pen pals, she enjoyed giving of herself while expecting nothing in return. It's this warm and generous spirit friends and family now recall. Cora died peacefully at Almonte General Hospital with her family present Oct. 18, 1995. She was 90. Born Aug. 17, 1905, at Halls Mills, Ont., Cora was the daughter of the late Robert Munro and his wife the late Ida Watchhorn. She attended Halls Mills Public School and then went to write her entrance exams in Lanark Village in 1920. On Nov. 18, 1931, she married the late Arthur Yuill. They farmed for many years in Darling Township before they moved with their family to Ramsay Township in 1947. It was during the early 1940s that Cora began reaching out to others through letter-writing. A "friendship book" she sent to a friend made its way to Nova Scotia, initiating her first pen pal. An advertisement placed in the old Winnipeg Free Press sparked another 36 pen pals in 1948. From there, her hobby blossomed as more and more people contacted her. Until the early 1980s, she'd built up long-distance relationships with more than 100 people, most of them in North America but many in England, Ireland and even Australia. Mary Cook. Cora also loved writing poetry. Her works were featured regularly in Gazette. She also had her favourites placed in booklets which she as she generously offered to friends. She often used her talent to look back with fondness on her life ? her childhood, time spent at school in the one-room school house, growing up with her brothers and sisters, raising her own family. These were what she often referred to as "the best old days." One person who knows Cora's warm heart is Stephen Cotnam. He befriended her several years ago while visiting her brother-in-law on a church outreach program. Over the years, he said, they developed a friendship which just grew stronger. "She was a peaceful lady, a lady full of grace," he said. She realized her dream of traveling "through her writing. I think that gave her some distant connections." Cotnam said Cora was always generous with her time. "I found I enjoyed the visits as much did, maybe more," he said. During his eulogy, he referred to three of her poems. The third entitled "End of Summer" ends with the lines: We must make the best of the life we've been given And maybe some day we'll have a place up in Heaven. "I had felt, in a sense, she'd been able to bring a little Heaven on earth," Cotnam said. Cora was a devoted mother and loving friend. She was a member of the United Church in Clayton where she enjoyed singing in the church choir. Her last five years were spent in Fairview Manor after moving out of her log home on the Old Perth Road. Her daughter Dorothy Legree said she "truly enjoyed" singing in the choir and enjoyed many a happy day at the manor. Cora is survived by her five daughters Dorothy (Randolph Legree), Blanche (late Lawrence Desjardins), Alma (late Stuart Malloch), Eilleen (Dan Boothby) and Della (James Graham). She is also survived by her brother, Wilbert (Florence) of Clayton, Ont., sister-in-law Olive, 14 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sisters Eva Fulton and Florence Watt and by her brother Earl Munro.The funeral took place Oct. 21 in the chapel of Alan Barker Funeral, Home, McArthur Avenue, Carleton Place, at 2 p.m. Rev. Eilleen Heppwhite officiated. Honourary pallbearers were Dave Cleary, Donald Miller, Eldon Munro, Delmer Munro, Bernard Fulton, and Logan More. Pallbearers were Cora's grandson Richard Legree, Dale Boothby, Kelly Graham, Donald Malloch, Paul Desjardins and her great-grandson Daniel Boothby. I am going home to Heaven, To the many mansions there, Going home to be with Jesus, Free from sorrow, sin and care.

At St Petersburg, Florida on Tuesday December 23, 1980, Alex Schoular of Ottawa and formerly of Almonte died at the age of 79. The husband of the late Emily Fraser is survived by his second wife, the former Helen Lyons. She is also survived by sister-in-law Marguerite Cotter and Dorothy Thompson and dear cousin of Kathleen McVeetors, all of Ottawa, as well as a number of other cousins in the Ottawa area. She was a retired employee of the Department of National Revenue (Excise), and a long time member of Dominion Chalmers United Church in Ottawa. Service will be held at Auld Kirk Cemetery, Almonte, on Tuesday, August 7, at 3 p.m. Rev Terry Dance of Trinity Church, Simcoe, officiating with interment to follow.

One of the largest funerals to be held in the United Church for many years was that of Mrs. Ross Craig who died on Thursday, March 17 at the Shail Nursing Home, following 26 years of ill health. She was in her 55th year. Born on a farm on the Clayton Road, Ramsay Township in 1905, Annie May Reid was a daughter of the late John R. Reid and his wife, Margaret McKay of Middleville. She was educated at the rural school, Almonte High School and in 1925 graduated from Kemptville Agricultural School. In 1926 she married Mr. Allan Ross Craig, one of the well known farmers of this district and went to live with him on the 11th line of Ramsay. In addition to her husband she is survived by her mother who has lived in Almonte for a good many years, and by three daughters: Dorothy (Mrs. Lyle Reid) Almonte; Jean (Mrs. Keith Willows) Innisville and Miss Lois, in Ottawa. There are also two sisters, Mrs. Raymond Kemp and Mrs. Stuart Whyte of Ramsayville; two grandchildren, Shirley and Barry Willows. One brother, Robert, died in childhood. Mrs. Craig was stricken with an illness 26 years ago that eventually made her an invalid confined to a wheel chair. She spent the last three years of her life in a nursing home. But in spite of being confined to her home and the pain she suffered she was always remarkably bright and cheerful; so much so that people enjoyed visiting her.

The body rested at the Kerry-Scott Funeral Home, Elgin Street until 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon when it was removed to the United Church which is located just across the street. The pastor, Rev. J. Ray Anderson, conducted a service in which he spoke words of comfort to the mourners basing his remarks on passages from the Bible, particularly from Job and the Apostle Paul. There was almost a full choir and the flowers around the altar rail were very beautiful. Hymns sung were "What a Friend we have in Jesus," and "Abide With Me." Pallbearers were three nephews, Messrs; John Whyte, Donald Kemp and Wilfred Neilson and Messrs; Morden Duncan, Arthur MacNicol and Eric Munro. Honorary Pallbearers were members of the session of the church of which Mr. Craig had long been a member. Among the many tributes were flowers from the Bank of Canada, Ottawa; Carleton Place Public School Board; the neighbors and Circle NO. 3 Almonte United W.A.; and in lieu of flowers, donations were given to the British and Foreign Bible Society from the session of Almonte United Church; W. A. of Boyd's United Church and Mr. And Mrs. Arthur McNichol in memory of the deceased. Interment was in the Auld Kirk Cemetery

Thomas Wilbert McKay
The sudden death of Thomas Wilbert McKay, occurred at his home, St George St., Almonte, on Saturday morning, October 17th, at the age of 59. Born at Middleville on July 21, 1911, he was the eldest son of Welland McKay and the late Nellie Rodger. He received his education at Middleville. Later moving to Ramsay, where he farmed, besides being Stationary Engineer at the Almonte Dairy, No 1 Mill, and for the last ten years was employed at the Collie Woollen Mill, Appleton. On September 30, 1936, in St George Church, Clayton, the late Mr McKay was married to Marjorie Poole, who survives his loss with three sons, George and Harold of Ottawa, and Arthur at home. Two daughters-in-law, Margaret and Janis, and a darling granddaughter, Krista Margaret, all of Ottawa. His father, one brother James and his uncle, Charlie McKay of Almonte, also survive. The funeral was held from the Comba Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 20. Burial was in the Auld Kirk Cemetery. Service was conducted by Rev L. Hughes of Arnprior. Honourary pallbearers were Messrs John Sutherland, M.R. Thompson, N.T. Sadler, Earle Currie, Ralph Sinnett, John Waddell and W.A. Metcalfe. Active pallbearers were Messrs Earl Cowan, John Mann, Don Thurston, Gordon Weir, Delmer Paterson and Ernest Giles. Flower-bearers were Ray Cowan, Bob Sadler, Ronnie McKay and Karl Mann.

Annie Andrews died March 3 in the Almonte General Hospital following a six week illness. She was 82. She was born Annie Rodger in Galbraith Jan 29, 1910 daughter to the late James Rodger and the late Harriet McKay, both of Galbraith. She married the late David Andrews Nov 5, 1930 in Almonte. Mrs Andrews lived in this area for 65 years. She is survived by sons Raymond of Kingston and Don of Oshawa. She is also survived by their wives Shirley and Eileen, and grandchildren Cindy, Patti and Stanley of Kingston and Robbie of Oshawa, and great-grandchildren Lance, Shawntell and Jessica also of Kingston. She was predeceased by sister Ella Andrews and brother Thomas (Mac) Rodger. The funeral was led by Rev Bob Hill at the C.R. Gamble Funeral Home chapel March 5 at 2 p.m. Burial will take place at the Auld Kirk cemetery.

Alma (McKay) Brennen, 96, of Great Falls, a former service department clerk, died of natural causes Tuesday at a local hospital.
Her funeral is 11 a.m. today at Hillcrest Lawn Memorial Chapel, with burial in Highland Cemetery. Schnider Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
Alma died surrounded by her family.
She was born in Strasbourg, Saskatchewan, Canada, on May 4, 1913, to Robert and Susanna (n?e Pomfret) McKay. She was raised in Nokomis, Saskatchewan, where she completed her elementary and secondary education. Alma earned teacher certification from Regina Normal School in 1931, and taught in one-room schools across Saskatchewan, until she moved to the United States in 1952, and settled in Great Falls.
Alma married Thomas E. Brennen in 1936, and the couple had three sons. In 1957, Alma married Andy Nault, at which time his daughter, Shari Nault, joined the family.
Alma was employed by Sears Roebuck & Co. from 1952 until her retirement in 1982. She worked in the service department and is remembered by many people who came to Sears for parts and service on their appliances and equipment.
During her 27 years of retirement, she enjoyed traveling to many countries around the world. With children scattered across the country, Alma was a frequent flyer, often visiting her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her three sons, Gerald D. Brennen and his wife Barbara of Nashua, N.H., Patrick Wayne Brennen of Rockport, Texas, and Lyle Brennen of Bel Air, Md.; her stepdaughter, Shari Nault of Billings, Mont.; Kathie Raunig of Helena, Mont., whom Alma considered a second daughter; a sister, Mabel Trosterud Sayer of Edmonton, Alberta; her grandchildren, Robin Brennen and Jayson Brennen; stepgranddaughters Kimberlee Garcia, Heidi Martincic and Holly Nault Pullar; and great-grandchildren Jayla Brennen and Tyler Brennen.

George Daniel Stewart, a resident of Ramsay township, died at Almonte General Hospital of Jan 11, 1983 after a lengthy illness. He was 75. Born on March 25, 1907, the son of the late James Stewart and Catherine Munro, he was educated at SS No 6, Ramsay, and married Isabel Lawson on March 29, 1934 at Cedar Hill, who survives him. He worked as a farmer in Lanark county all of his life. Mr Stewart is survived by sons James of Pakenham township, Daniel at home, and daughters Doris (Mrs Ellard Peever) of Cobden, and Mary of Ottawa. He is also survived by brothers Robert, Malcolm and William of Almonte. he is predeceased by one son Elmer. Funeral service was held at the Kerry Funeral Home on Jan 13 at 11 am, the Rev Jack Lougheed officiating. Burial was at the Auld Kirk Cemetery. Pallbearers included Jack Penman, Donald Munro, Glen Lawson, Robert Cochran, Robert Gunn and Donald Stewart.

The death of Ila Mae Elizabeth Munro, widow of the late George Jones, occurred at the Civic Hospital, Ottawa, on Saturday, October 2nd, following a severe stroke. She was 65. Mrs Jones was born at Clayton on February 2nd, 1911, a daughter of the late David Munro and his wife, Edith E. Thompson. She received her education at Clayton schools and Almonte High School. She was a member of Almonte Presbyterian Church, where she was active in the choir. Her chief hobby was music and at one time she played the organ at the Baptist Church. On December 8th, 1943, she was married at Almonte United Church to the late George W. Jones. She is survived by a step-son, Kenneth Jones, O Kemos, Michigan, and a step-daughters, Gladys (Mrs Edgar Wilson), Ottawa; Phyllis (Mrs Ted Boal), Lively, Ontario and Vivian (Mrs Al Harrington) of Richmond. Also surviving are a brother, Raymond Munro, Toronto, and two sisters, Kathleen (Mrs Gordon Thom), Almonte, and Lottie (Mrs Wilbert Belford), Pakenham. The funeral was held from the Kerry Funeral Home, Almonte, on Monday, October 4, at 2 p.m. with Rev Paul Rumball officiating, assisted by Rev Smith, a former pastor of the Baptist Church.
