FUNERAL OF MRS. C. BAIRD
CARLETON PLACE, Dec 4, - (Special). - The funeral of Mrs. Christina Baird, whose death occurred in an Ottawa hospital on Tuesday, was held yesterday from he home on Charles street to Memorial Park United Church, where service was conducted by Rev. D. C. Munro. Interment was in Pine Grove cemetery, Rev. Mr. Munro also officiating. Chief mourners were her sons, Elmer and Harvey, and her sister, Mrs. William Jeffery, of Renfrew, and her brother, Robert M. Leese, of Westmeath. Floral tributes included pieces from the staff of the Renfrew Woollen Mills, Carleton Place; the Carleton Place Baseball Association; the L.O.B.A. and the O.Y.B No. 257. The pall-bearers were L.M. Tetlock, John Baird, Russel Lyons, Wm. Major, John Fraser, Irwin Jeffery.

Beloved husband of the late Inez Frances Bole. Loving father of Ruth (Mrs. David Gordon) of Manotick, Ontario. Dear grandfather of Christopher Gordon of Calgary, Alberta. Predeceased by a brother, Elmer Baird. There will be no visitation. Funeral and Committal Services complete in the chapel of the Kerry Funeral Home, 61 Lake Avenue West, Carleton Place, Ontario on Wednesday , February 28, at 2 p.m. Spring interment, United Cemeteries of Carleton Place. Donations to the Building Fund of the Carleton Place and District Memorial Hospital would be appreciated.

BAIRD ? The death occurred at the Kirkland and District Hospital Tuesday October 2 1984 of Mr. William James Elmer Baird 858 Government Road West, Chaput Hughes at the age of 75 years. Born at Westmeath he had been a Kirkland Lake resident for the past 40 years, past president of the Chaput Hughes Lions Club, Northland Fastball Association from 1964-66, and Kirkland Lake Curling Club, he was also a life member of the N. F. A. and an associate member of Branch 87 Royal Canadian Legion. He is survived by his wife Mildred (nee Doyle) at home, his son Dale and wife Donna of Peterborough, brother Harvey of Carleton Place, and two grandchildren Todd and Mark. Resting at the Symington and Monette Funeral Home Wednesday October 3 1984 from 2-4 and 7-9 until the time of the service in the Chapel Thursday at 11 a.m. Rev. David Bould officiating. Interment to follow in the Kirkland Lake Cemetery. In memoriam donations to the Temiskaming Lung Association will be gratefully acknowledged.
