    McARTHUR, Alexander Stuart (Alex)- Suddenly at his residence on Thursday, February 24th, 1983, Alexander (Alex) McArthur (Of Almonte in his 70th year). Dearly loved husband of Annie Peacock and beloved father of Stuart of Hudson, Que.; Mrs. Anne Lowe, Mrs. Bruce Pringle (Ethel), Mrs. Gary Warren (Mary), Clare and Gordon, all of Ottawa; Keith of Stittsville; James of Port Coquitlam, B.C.; Diane of Claresholm, Alberta and Mrs. Peter Woods (Dorothy) of Wawa. Predeceased by one daughter Linda. Also survived by 16 grandchildren. Rested at the Gamble and Comba Funeral Home, 127 Church Street, Almonte from 7 to 9 p.m., Saturday and 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Sunday and where service was held on Monday at 2 p.m. Rev. Jack Laughed officiating. Spring interment Auld Kirk Cemetery

    Linda Elizabeth McArthur
    The death occurred Monday, February 6th, 1967, at Kingston General Hospital after a short illness of Linda Elizabeth McArthur, beloved daughter of Mr and Mrs Alex McArthur, in her 10th year. She was born at Almonte March 20th, 1957 and attended school at S.S. No 6, Ramsay. Left to mourn her loss are her mother and father, five sisters and five brothers: Anne, Mrs David Lowe of Brockville; Ethel, Mrs Bruce Pringle of Ottawa; Mary, Mrs David Lackey of Oshawa; Dorothy and Diane at home; Stuart, of Hudson, Que; James of Ottawa; Keith, Clare and Gordon at home. The funeral service was held from the Comba Funeral Home, Wednesday, February 8th, at 2.20 p.m. The service was conducted by Mr George Poole. Interment was in Auld Kirk Cemetery. The pallbearers were John Cochran, Alan Giles, Frank Lackey, Carman Munro, Harold Stuart and John Morin.
