He died in Carleton Place and is buried in the United Cemetery Clayton.

    Basil of Clayton, at the age 84 years.
    Beloved husband for 63 years to Margaret. Proud father of seven children Kathy McGregor (David), Lornie (Joy), Gerry (Shelley), Steven, Cindy Merrithew (Rod) and Judy Wong (Gord) and predeceased by his infant daughter Nancy. Loving "Grampa" to eleven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Survived by his sister Gladys Billings (the late Les), and predeceased by his sister Marjorie.

Loving mother of Derek Clancy (Shelley) and Darcy Clancy (Amanda). Proud Grandma of Jacob, Megan, Simone and Nicholas.

    Daughter of the late Clifford and Effie Munro and daughter-in-law of the late Maurice and Gertrude Clancy.

    Survived by her brothers and sisters, Arnold Munro (Donna), Elmer Munro and Heather LePage (Gerry). Sister-in-law of Susan Munro, Margaret Jennings (late George), Irene Spike, Anne Powers (Jim), Michael Clancy (Nancy) and Gordon Meighan.

    Predeceased by her siblings, Laura Kellough (late Willard), Ellen Munro, Ray Munro, James Munro, Marion Brady (late Joe) and by her sister in-law Brenda Meighan.

    Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews, extended family and friends. Doris was a quiet, hard working and generous woman who was devoted to help and support others. She found great joy from her family. Doris cherished her 50 years of marriage to Walter and was immensely proud of Derek and Darcy's accomplishments. She also treasured the opportunity to nurture and adore her grandchildren. She will forever be remembered for her kindness and unconditional, caring nature. The family will receive friends at the PAUL G. Beloved wife of Jeff Obst; loving mother of Megan and Derek, both at home; cherished sister of Deborah (Doug) Coady, Dianna and Don Drynan, all of Almonte, Darlene (Larry) Cole of Carleton Place and Donna (Keith Armstrong) Drynan of Kemptville; sister-in-law of Caroline (Patrick) Boyce of Vancouver and Ann Drynan of Almonte. Sadly missed by her nieces and nephews Nicole, Sean, Tasha, Erin, Jaclyn, Leroy, Jason, Jordan, Alyson, Dawn and Ray. Special great-aunt of Mikayla. Predeceased by her parents, Shirley and Orville Drynan and brother-in-law Dale Obst. Daughter-in-law of Eric and Lois Obst of Arnprior. Resting at The Boyce Funeral Home, Chapel, Vistation and Reception Centre, 138 Daniel St. N., Arnprior, where friends may pay their respects on Friday 2 to 4 p.m., 7 to 9 p.m. and after 12 noon Saturday, April 26th, thence to St. John's Lutheran Church, 49 McLachlin Street S., Arnprior, for funeral service at 2 p.m., Rev. John Jacobs officiating. Interment Auld Kirk Cemetery, Almonte. In memoriams to the Cancer Society or one's favourite charity appreciated by her family. As you were, you will always be, Treasured forever in our memory.
