    Dies At 84 Years?/b?
    The death of Mrs. Ivy Morton, widow of the late Walter H. Morton, occurred at the Almonte Nursing Home, on Saturday, April 6th, following an illness of seven months' duration . She was in her 85th year. Born in England, she was a daughter of George Stanley and Emily Wood. She came to Canada in 1905. Deceased was married May 28, 1908, to the late Walter Morton. She attended St. Paul's Anglican Church, was a member of Atthewell Rebekah Lodge, and a life member of the Ladies' Auxiliary of the Royal Canadian Legion. Mrs. Morton is survived by four sons, Stan, Arthur, Lawrence and Reg, all of Almonte, and three daughters, Lillian (Mrs. J. Dick) of Almonte, Ethel (Mrs. Ed. Mallon), Ottawa and Muriel (Mrs, Clayton Watchorn), Stittsville. Also surviving is one sister, Mrs. W.F. Westbury, of Hamilton, Ont. The funeral was held Monday afternoon, April 8, from the Comba Funeral Home to St. Paul's Anglican Church for service at 2 o'clock. Services were conducted by Canon Ploughman, assisted by Ven. Archdeacon Eric Osborne of St, Matthew's Church, Ottawa. Burial was made, at St. Paul's Cemetery. Pallbearers were three grandsons, Larry Morton, Art Morton and Brian Watchorn, Garnet Doe, Lyle Cox and Bob McKittrick

    Unexpectedly from heart complications following successful surgery for prostate cancer on Saturday, December 7th, 2002 at age 65. Robert Wayne Morton loving husband of Patricia for 43 years. Cherished father of Bruce (Lucie) and Jennie (Richard), Adored Grandpa of Sydney, Jamie Leigh and Ashley. Dear son of Stan Morton, Almonte and the late Marjorie Robertson. Proud member of the Canadian Air Force for 37 years. He had a great love and zest for life. He was a gentleman's gentleman and will live in our hearts forever.     Lieutenant General Robert Wayne Morton, a Royal Canadian Air Force officer, served as deputy commander of NORAD from 1989 to 1992; NORAD is the 'North American Aerospace Defense Command' (previously known as the 'North American Air Defense Command') which conducts aerospace warning, aerospace control and maritime warning in the defense of North America. It is a United States/Canada bi-national organization with its headquarters in Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA.
