    The Late Mrs. T. J. Hodgins. The funeral was held on Monday afternoon from Kennedy's Funeral Home here to St. John's Anglican Church, sixth line of Huntley, of the late Mrs. Thomas J. Hodgins, who had spent most of her life in this district. The services were conducted by the rector, Rev. J. S. K. Tyrell, assisted by Archdeacon J. C. Anderson, of Ottawa, a former rector. Mrs. Hodgins, who was in her 70th year, died last Friday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. George Moreton, at Pakenham, with whom she lived the latter years of her life. Formerly Emma Florence Baird, she was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Baird, tenth line of Fitzroy. After her marriage in 1903 to Mr. Hodgins she lived most of her life on the sixth line of Huntley. Mr. Hodgins predeceased her in 1936. She is survived by a daughter (Mary) Mrs. George Moreton, of Pakenham, and two sons, Hartley, a druggist in Ottawa, and Orville, with the Ottawa Transportation Commission. Another daughter (Lola) died in 1919. Surviving also are two sisters (Annie) Mrs. John Baird of Ottawa and (Eva) Mrs. George Greene of Carp, also two brothers, John Baird of Carp and William Baird of Kinburn. There is also one grandson, Ralph Hodgins ,of Ottawa. Interment was in St. Paul's cemetery, ninth line of Fitzroy. The pallbearers were Messrs. Wallace Baird, Gordon Argue, George Wilson, George Greene, William Hodgins and Lorne Cavanagh. The floral offerings were numerous and beautiful.

Thomas (son of John Hodgins and Eleanor McVeity) was born on 9 Feb 1876 in Carp, Huntley Township, Carleton County, Ontario, Canada; died on 21 Dec 1936 in Ottawa, Carleton County, Ontario, Canada; was buried in St. Paul's Anglican Cemetery, Kinburn, Ottawa Municipality, Ontario, Canada.     Mrs. G. S. Moreton Dies Resident of Pakenham. (By Pakenham Correspondent) The death occurred at the Rosamond Memorial Hospital, Almonte, Sunday, September 28 of Mrs. George S. Moreton, a highly esteemed resident of this community after an illness of several months. She was in her 52nd year. Mrs. Moreton who, before her marriage, was Mary Elizabeth Hodgins, was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas J. Hodgins, Huntley. In June 1939, she married Mr. Moreton and came to reside near Pakenham, where she had since resided. She was a member of St. Andrew's United Church, Pakenham. Surviving besides her husband, are two brothers, Hartley and Orville Hodgins, Ottawa. Many beautiful floral tributes were received testifying to the high esteem in which she was held. The funeral was held September 30 from the Kennedy Funeral Home, Carp, to St. Andrew's United Church, Pakenham, where service was conducted by the Rev. W. Henley. Interment was in the Union Cemetery. Pallbearers were Wallace and Melvin Baird, George Greene, Gordon Milne, Graham and William Hodgins.
