    In hospital at Ottawa, Ontario, on Saturday, February 15, 1997, Edward L. Munro, in his 77th year. Son of the late Thomas Edward Munro Sr. and the late Lillian Elizabeth Hankin. Beloved husband of Jennie Robinson. Loving father of Wayne (Ruth) and Willis (Glenda), both of Carleton Place, Doral (Debbie) of Almonte and Terry (Debbie) of Ashton. Predeceased by his son, Sheldon. Special grampa of 13 grandchildren and 4 greatgrandchildren. Survived by his brother, Willard of Smiths Falls. Predeceased by his sisters, Martha Craig and Nellie Munro and his brothers, Archie and Gordon. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Resting at the OR. Gamble Funeral Home, 127 Church Street, Almonte, Ontario, on Monday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. and on Tuesday from 12 noon until service in the chapel at 2:30 p.m., Rev. Ken Robinson officiating. Spring interment Clayton United Cemetery, Clayton, Ontario. Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family. There will be a Legion Service on Monday at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

    Martha Matilda Craig, a native of Clayton, died suddenly at Almonte General Hospital on Oct 14, 1984. She was 60. Born in Clayton on March 27, 1924, the daughter of Edward Munro and Lillian Hankin, she was married in Almonte to Robert Earl Craig, who survives her, on April 4, 1939. Mrs Craig, a housewife, was a lifelong resident of Almonte. She is survived by sons Allen Craig and Robert Craig Jr of Nova Scotia and Arnold Craig, Howard Craig and William Craig of Almonte and by daughters Faye Morrow of Carleton Place, Marilyn Reid of St Johns, Nfld, Beverly Guay of Almonte, Donna Coe and Susan Barr of Pakenam. She is also survived by brothers Eddie of Almonte, Archie of New Westminster, BC, Gordon of Toronto and Willard of Smiths Falls. A sister, Nellie Munro. predeceased her. The funeral service was held at Gamble & Comba Funral Home on Oct 16 at 10:30 am. The service was conducted by Rev Lougheed. Interment was at Auld Kirk Cemetery. The pallbearers were Frank Guay, Richard Coe, Michael Morrow,Willis Munro and Wayne Munro.

    Martha married Robert Earl Craig on 4 Apr 1939 in Almonte, Lanark County, Ontario, Canada. Robert (son of Ernest Richard Craig and Eleanor Lang) was born on 7 Apr 1919 in Almonte, Lanark County, Ontario, Canada; died on 17 Oct 1988 in Almonte, Lanark County, Ontario, Canada; was buried in Auld Kirk Cemetery, Ramsay, Mississippi Mills, Lanark County, Ontario, Canada.     Peacefully in hospital at Arnprior with family at his side and following a courageous struggle with cancer on Tuesday, March 4, 2014. Robert "Bob" Craig of Arnprior, age 65 years. Son of the late Robert E. Craig and his wife the late Martha (nee: Munro). Beloved brother of Allan (Peggy), Faye Morrow (Gerald), Marilyn Reid (late David), Bev. Guay (late Larry), Donna Coe (late Charlie), Gail Craig, Howard (Guedron), Arnold, (Margaret), Bill (Colleen) and Susan Barr (Bruce). Also survived by several nieces & Nephews. Friends may call at the C. R. GAMBLE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL Inc. 127 Church Street, Almonte, Ont. (613) 256-3313 for visiting on Friday, March 7 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM and where Service will be held in the Gamble Chapel on Saturday, March 8 at 11 AM.
