Beloved wife of the late Randolph (Dolphie) Elliott. Dearly loved mom of Georgina Blair (Ron) of Pakenham, Ollie Orr (Walter) of Lindsay, Joan Somerton (Lynden) and Diane Brown (Art) both of Almonte. Predeceased by a daughter; Greta Barr and 2 sons; Merrill & Laurie and a brother; Albert. Cherished and much loved grandma of 26 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and many great-great-grandchildren. Fondly remembered by Dianne & Marilyn Elliott; and Don Eriksen.

    Lawrence Randolph Elliott, 25, of Almonte, died in an automobile crash on Highway 29, four miles north of here early last Thursday morning. The other occupant of the car, 33-year-old Carson Munro of Almonte, is a patient in Ottawa Civic Hospital suffering from chest injuries. Lawrence Elliott was born at Almonte, October 26, 1941, a son of Randolph Elliott and Adeline King. He received his education in Almonte Public and High Schools, and at the time of his death was employed as a millwright with A.D. Ross at Carp. He resided at 15 Malcolm street and was a member of Almonte United Church. He was married at Almonte to Diane Wright, daughter of Mr and Mrs Alex Wright of town, who survives, together with one daughter, Kelly Lee, and his parents. Also surviving are one brother, Merril, of Almonte, and five sisters, Greta, Mrs Leonard Barr of Lanark; Georgina, Mrs Ronald Blair, Kemptville, Ollie, Mrs Don Erickson, Stouffville, and Joan and Dianne at home. The funeral was held from the Comba Funeral Home Church street, on Saturday at 2.30 o'clock, to Almonte United Church for service. Burial was made at Auld Kirk Cemetery, Rev H.A. Skoutajan conducted the services. Pallbearers were Garnet Barr, David Kean, Delbert Barr, James Gleeson, Alyre Gallant and George Larocque

    McCANN, Barbara "Barb" (nee Barr) Suddenly at the Ottawa General Hospital, on Thursday January 3, 2008 at the age of 61. Life long friend of Tom McCann. Loving mother of Lorie McCann, Susan McCann (Robert Larisey), and Bobbi McCann. Adored grandmother of Sam McCann, Charlotte Larisey and Laurel McCann. Dear sister of Lynda (Keith Sweeney), Allan Barr (Joyce), Maxine (Rick Topping), Susan (Paul Shane), Randy Barr (Donna) and Beth (Barry Bulloch). Predeceased by her parents Leonard and Greta Barr. Barb will be especially missed by Terry Julian, her nieces and nephews and all her many many friends. At the familys request, the visitation will be private. Friends are invited to join the family for a time to celebrate Barb's life at the Army, Navy and Air Force, Carleton Place, on Saturday, January 12, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. For those who wish, a donation to the Carleton Place Hospital Foundation or Lanark County Interval House would be appreciated by the family.     We are extremely saddened to announce the passing of Lorie-Lyn McCann on Friday, May 13, 2022. Beloved daughter of the late Barbara McCann and Tom McCann (Pam Clements). Survived by her son Sam McCann who was the true love of Lorie's life. She is also survived by her two sisters, Susan McCann (Robert Larisey) and Bobbi McCann (Jamie Bowden). Lorie was a very proud Aunt to her two nieces Charlotte Larisey and Laurel McCann who were always able to bring a smile to Lorie's face even on her worst days. She will be deeply missed by her wonderful aunts and cousins, many of whom were not only family but her best friends. Lorie loved her family and friends with a loyal passion as rare and beautiful as she was. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends as well by many of Sam's friends who she gave her time, advice and home to over the years. We are truly grateful for Chrissy and Shirley who took wonderful care of Lorie over the last year as her health declined. Beautiful girl, we will think of you often and remember you always.

    Lorie will be laid to rest at United Cemetery with a private graveside service.
