He was a professional ice hockey player who played 2 seasons in the National Hockey League for the Montreal Maroons and the Toronto St. Pats. He was born in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. He married Florence M. Cameron in 1925 at Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. Munro died in Sudbury, Ontario in 1968 and was buried at Park Lawn Cemetery. His wife, Florence died in 1958.

In loving memory of Georgina "Georgie" Katherine Currie (nee Munro), 86 years, who passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 27th, 2012 at Health Sciences North surrounded by her loving family.

Beloved wife of Merrill Currie predeceased. Loving mother of Robert (Linda) of Courtice, Ont., and Gerry (Pat) of Sudbury. Proud grandmother of Scott (Kerri), Andrew, Kim (Mark), and great grandson Hunter and step grandmother of Stephanie (Mark), Grant, Kayle (Julie) and step great grandchildren Kaylin, Mac, Abby and Olivia. Beloved sister of Gerry Davis (Gene predeceased) of Regina and Diane Penttinen (Unno) both predeceased. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Georgie had been a member of St. Paul's United Church. Family was always the center of her life and she leaves a wonderful legacy of love. Georgie will be remembered for her great sense of humor, her love for playing cards especially euchre with family and friends at camp. The family expresses their appreciation to the staff of the Elizabeth Centre and the 4th floor, North Tower, Health Sciences North for their excellent care and compassion.

At Georgie's request, there will be no visitation or service. Cremation. Donations to the Sam Bruno Pet Scanner Fund would be appreciated. (Arrangements entrusted to the Lougheed Funeral Home.

In loving memory of Geraldine Claire Davis (Munro) "Gerry", "Deanie", who passed away on June 20, 2015 at Wascana Grace Hospice. Predeceased by husband Ralph Eugene "Gene" Davis; she is survived by daughters Cathy Davis and Terri Young (Ron). Special grandmother to Christopher, Clinton, Shane and Raymond and great-grandchildren Carson and Addison. Beloved sister of Georgina Currie (Merrill) and Diane Penttinen (Unno) all predeceased. Sadly missed by many cousins, nieces and nephews, sisters and brothers-in-law. Born in 1926 to Florence and Gerald Munro, Gerry spent her life in Sudbury, Ontario. She was a member of St. Paul's United Church, and had many special friends and wonderful times there. She moved to Regina in 2006, and became a member of Heritage United Church where again she made many wonderful friends. Gerry loved to travel and visit family and friends. She loved the Blue Jays and to watch their games. She will be fondly remembered by many for all the good times had together. At Gerry's request there will be no service. Donations to Wascana Grace Hospice c/o The Salvation Army William Booth Special Care Home, 50 Angus Road, Regina, SK S4R 6P6, or to Heritage United Church 1050 N. Arnason Street, Regina, SK S4X 4K9 would be appreciated.
