    ?b?Miss Janet Wood?/b?
Miss Janet Wood, well known in Ramsay and Pakenham died on Wednesday at the home of her nephew, Mr Walter J. Wood, of the Ninth Line of Pakenham. She was in her 82nd year. Until about a fortnight before her death she had enjoyed excellent health; however she was able to be around until Sunday morning when she had a paralytic stroke, and she remained unconscious until her death on Wednesday. Miss Wood was a daughter of the late Mr and Mrs Walter Wood, of the Ninth Line of Pakenham. Her father died abut a quarter of a century ago, and her mother died some years before that. After her father's death she lived with her brother Mr William Y. Wood, in Pakenham, but for the last fourteen years she had resided with her nephew Walter. She was much loved and respected and lived a most useful life. She was a devout member of the Blakeney Presbyterian church. The funeral took place on Thursday from the home of Mr Walter Wood on the Ninth Line to the Eighth Line of Ramsay Presbyterian cemetery. There was a large attendance of friends. The service at the house was conducted by Rev W.T. McKenzie, of Pakenham. The pallbearers were: Messrs Robert Fulton, Thomas Fulton, James McCann, John Deugo, John Thompson, and Milton Lindsay. The late Miss Wood is survived by one sister, Mrs J. Barker, Sr., of Blakeney.
