Alexander married Annie Sophia Neilson on 23 Apr 1884 in Ramsay Township, Lanark County, Ontario, Canada. Annie (daughter of Matthew McFarlene Neilson and Emeline Teskey) was born on 23 Jul 1862 in Ramsay Township, Lanark County, Canada West; died on 13 Jul 1943 in Ramsay Township, Lanark County, Ontario, Canada; was buried on 15 Jul 1943 in Auld Kirk Cemetery, Ramsay, Mississippi Mills, Lanark County, Ontario, Canada. (Medical): Mr Ernest H. Turner, who had been ailing for several months, passed away somewhat unexpectedly, at his new home on Victoria street, into which he had moved only the day previous. Last winter Mr Turner had a severe attack of influenza, from which he never fully recovered, which caused him to give up his farm and move to town.

Mr Ernest H. Turner Passes Suddenly
Last Wednesday afternoon Mr Ernest H. Turner, who had been ailing for several months, passed away somewhat unexpectedly, at his new home on Victoria street, into which he had moved only the day previous. Deceased was born in Ramsay, being a son of the late Alexander Turner, and was but 32 years of age. When quite young man he bought the Paterson farm on the 9th line, where he made an ideal home. About ten years ago he married Phoebe Houston. daughter of the late Andrew Houston, and she with two children. Alexander and Hannah, survive. Last winter Mr Turner had a severe attack of influenza, from which he never fully recovered, which caused him to give up his farm and move to town. He was a progressive farmer and took a keen interest in the local horse show, of which he was for some years a director. In religion he was a Presbyterian, and, for some years was an officer of St Andrews church Appleton. The funeral took place on Friday afternoon to the 8th Line Ramsay cemetery, and was largely attended. The services were conducted by Rev Mr Fraser of Appleton. The pallbearers were Messrs T.E. Arthur, John Cram, Norman McDougall, W. Hawkins, John Chapman and Harry Young. The sorrowing family have the deepest sympathy of many friends in their bereavement.

Ernest married Phoebe Agnes Houston on 24 Jun 1908 in Ramsay Township, Lanark County, Ontario, Canada. Phoebe (daughter of Andrew Houston and Hannah Galbraith) was born on 23 Apr 1885 in Ramsay Township, Lanark County, Ontario, Canada; died on 6 May 1969 in Carleton Place, Lanark County, Ontario, Canada; was buried in May 1969 in Auld Kirk Cemetery, Ramsay, Mississippi Mills, Lanark County, Ontario, Canada. TURNER - Suddenly in Vancouver, B.C. on July 13, 1972, Mr Alexander Howard Turner, aged 61 years, of 1178 Beach Drive, born in Carleton Place, Ont., resided in Victoria for the past 9 years. He is survived by his wife, Mildred Edith, his sister, Mrs H. McArton of Carleton Place and 2 nieces, Marilyn and Glenna. Strictly Private Service will be held in McCall Bros Family Chapel, Victoria, with Rev Dr. J. Scott Leith officiating, following by cremation. (Flowers gratefully declined.
