    John Gilbertson Hilton, 73, former resident of Emporia, died at midnight Sunday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. L. Brooks (Lashbrook), at Kansas City. The body will be brought to Emporia Tuesday (5 Aug. 1930) for funeral services at 4 o'clock at the Roberts-Blue chapel. Rev. W. D. McMullen will conduct the services. Interment will be in Maplewood cemetery. Mr. Gilbertson [sic] is survived by six children. Mrs. Brooks (Lashbrook), of Kansas City; Walter Hilton, Frank Hilton and Mrs. Ai Griffitts of Emporia; George and Guy Hilton of El Dorado, and one sister, Mrs. W. B. Marshall of Attica.     Mrs. Griffitts Dies
    Mrs. Ai (Pat) Griffitts, 1 South Market St., died this morning in Newman Memorial County Hospital.
    Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Roberts-Blue-Barnett Chapel, conducted by the Rev. W. Howard Holverson, pastor of the First Christian Church. Burial will be in the Maplewood Cemetery.
    Effie May Hilton, the daughter of John and Anna Farr Hilton, was born March 13th, 1889 in Peru, Iowa, and she was married to Ai Griffitts, Nov. 11th, 1905, in Emporia. She was a member of the First Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, who died Jan. 5th, 1959, and by three sons, and she is survived by three sons, George of San Fernando, Calif., Jess of Reno, Nev., and Frank, of Scottsdale, Ariz.; five daughters,Mrs. George Kelly, 204 East Tenth Ave., Mrs. George T. O'Connell, Ottawa (KS), Mrs. W. C. Bollinger, Kansas City, Kan., Mrs. H. R. Hostettler, 853 West Fifth Ave., and Miss Elaine Griffitts, Houston, Tex., one brother, Frank Hilton and one sister, Mrs. G. W.     The Hilton Funeral
    Funeral services for Walter E. Hilton, 15 Union, who died Saturday at the University of Kansas hospital, were held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the McVey chapel. The Rev. LeRoy Hay, pastor of the First Christian church conducted the services. Theodore C. Owen sang, accompanied by Mrs. Harry Richmond.
    Pallbearers were Carl Russell, Lloyd Stone, Robert Kyle, Paul Collins, Harold Johnson and M. B. Miller. Interment was in Maplewood cemetery.
    Out-of-town relatives and friends attending the services were Georgia Lee Hilton, Mr. and Mrs. L. Hodgen, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hilton, George Hilton, Oren Hilton, and Mrs. Lillie Hilton, all of El Dorado; Mr. and Mrs. George Lashbrook, Frank Hilton and Guy Hilton, of Kansas City, Mo.; Mrs. Harry Rogers, Ernest Rogers and Mrs. W.     "Mrs. George Lashbrook, Sr.

    Mrs. Gussie R. Lashbrook, 74, of 5844 Park, died yesterday at Lakeside hospital. She was born in Perus, Ia., and had lived here 50 years. She was a member of St. Theresa's Catholic church. She leaves her husband, George W. Lashbrook, sr., of the home; a son, George W. Lashbrook, Jr, 2429 East Sixty-seventh; a daughter, Mrs. Anne Ellen Holt, 4031 East Sixty-eighth Terrace; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Services will be at 10 o'clock Wednesday at the Newcomer chapel, Brush Creek and the Paseo; burial in Memorial Park cemetery. A rosary will be said at 8:15 o'clock Tuesday night at the chapel, where friends may call after 5 o'clock."

    "George W. Lashbrook

    George W. Lashbrook, 54, of 900 Ute, Independence, died Sunday at Research Medical Center. He was a lifelong resident. Mr. Lashbrook was a hoisting engineer. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Independence. He was a committee-man for Boy Scout Troop No. 221. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Dorlis Lashbrook, and a son, Pete Lashbrook, both of the home; a sister, Mrs. Anna E. Holt, 4031 E. 68th Terrace, and six grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Park Lawn Chapel; burial in Memorial Park Cemetery. The rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. tonight at the chapel, where friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. tonight. The family requests no flowers and suggests contributions to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association."
