WINNIPEG. Oct. 13.-A mem ber of the police force during Winnipegs infancy and police sergeant at Grand Beach during the past summer, John Keys, 613 William avenue, died Saturday morning In Victoria hospital, following a short illness and operation. He was 69 years of age.
Surviving are his widow and one son, Howard, Winnipeg. Three sisters and four brothers also survive: Mrs. Sarah Usherwood, Regina, Sask, Mrs. A. Caswell. Maple Creek, Sask., and Mrs. George Hannan, Landis, Sask.; Hugh and Joseph, Keystown, Sask.; Robert, Pentlcton, B.C., and Adam, California.

John married Mary Jane Stewart on 12 May 1897 in Winnipeg, Greater Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Mary (daughter of James Stewart and Elisabeth Duncan) was born in 1868 in Wawanosh Township, Huron County, Ontario, Canada; and died. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
