    On September 15, 1967 at her residence, Eva French, aged 68 years, beloved wife of James Albert French of Dominion City, Manitoba. Funeral service Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. in the Dominion City United Church with Rev. H. Unruh officiating. Friends may pay their last respects at the church prior to the service. Interment in the local cemetery.
    Besides her husband, she is survived by six daughters: Mrs. E. Solnes (Dorothy) Vancouver, Mrs. A. Keehn (Jean) Emerson, Mrs. M. Graydon (Bernice) Greenridge, Mrs. R. Forbes (Norma) Toronto, Mrs. J. Noonan (Jean) Arlington, Virginia, Mrs. B. Nichols (Gweneth), Dominion City: four sons, Wallace , Vancouver; Thomas, Ashcroft, B.C. Kenneth, Dominion City, Vaughan, White Horse, Yukon; 35 grandchildren, five great grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Mildred Anderson, Ashcroft, B.C., two brothers, Lloyd of Waukesha, Wisconsin, Kenneth of Edmonton.
    She was predeceased by one son, one daughter, one sister, and two brothers.

    Obituary-
    Robert Vaughan "Duke" French- Peacefully on Saturday, October 14, 2000 at his residence in Dominion City, Robert Vaughan (better known as "Duke" to those that knew him) French passed away, at the age of 68 years. Duke was born in Dominion City where he spent his early years and in 1954 he enlisted and spent the next four years with the Royal Canadian Air Force. After his short stint in serving his country, Duke was employed as an accountant for various employers taking him to Northern British Columbia and the Yukon, retiring at the age of 62 years, at which time he moved back to Dominion City. Duke was well travelled, seeing much of the North and South America. He was planning a cruise which would eventually take him to Costa Rica, where he made many friends and acquaintances. In spite of his poor health, on many occasions, when the weather permitted, he was out with his friends enjoying a game of golf, a favorite pastime of his. Duke had other interests keeping him occupied. He was an active member of the Royal Canadian Legion and the local craft club.
    At his request, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 19, at 2:00 p.m. at the Dominion City United Church with Rev. Lesley Calder officiating. An internment will take place at the Dominion City Cemetery.
    Arrangements entrusted to Loewen Funeral Chapel of Steinbach.

    WENINGER--Gladys (Girlie) passed away on Wednesday, January 22, 2003 at William Booth Special Care Home, Regina at the age of 63 years, following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born and raised in Craik, Saskatchewan, later making her home in Edmonton, AB where she was employed for twenty years at Sobey's West Food Distributors. Due to ill health she returned to Saskatchewan and has resided in Regina for the past fourteen months. Gladys was predceased by her parents William and Katie Weninger; brothers, George, Doug, Bill and brother-in-law Garnett Fielder. She is survived by two sisters, Eileen Fielder of Spalding, SK, Carol (Harry) Beblow of Regina; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, January 27, 2003 at 10:30 a.m. in Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue with Rev. Desmond G. Patton officiating. Interment to follow at Craik Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. Special thanks to Rae Letain and her staff at Palliative Home Care and also the staff at William Booth Special Care Home.

    Nancy June Wainwright, age 80, of Oscoda died on Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2015 surrounded by family at Iosco County Medical Care Facility in Tawas City.

    She was born on Aug. 23, 1935 at home in Turner, the fifth child of Harvey and Constance (Townsend) Bronson and graduated from Arenac Eastern High School in Twining in 1953. Following graduation, she was employed by the Federal Bureau of Investigation in Detroit as a secretary.

    On Sept. 10, 1955, Nancy married George "Judd" Wainwright at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Turner. The couple moved to Mt. Pleasant three years later where she worked for Michigan Consolidated Gas Company while her husband attended Central Michigan University. In 1962, the couple moved to Tawas City, and Nancy continued to work for the gas company for five more years there. In 1967 the couple moved to Oscoda where Nancy worked for Brownell Realty and Landmark Title before becoming employed by Oscoda Area Schools in 1978 in various positions as an aide and secretary. After retiring from Oscoda Area Schools in 1996, she continued working in her and her husband's business, Raindance Sprinkling Systems, until her death.

    She taught line dancing to seniors at the Oscoda AuSable Senior Center for many years until early 2015. She enjoyed golfing, the outdoors, walking, traveling, creating homemade greeting cards and gardening. She had several beautiful gardens that she tended. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Oscoda where she was a greeter, and was also a member of the Oscoda Yacht Club, Lakewood Shores Property Owners Association and "dinner club."

    Nancy is survived by her husband, Judd; two daughters, Lisa (Gary) Mandeville and Kari (Matt Raymond) Wainwright, both of Oscoda; grandson, Eric Joseph of Oscoda; two sisters, Constance (Bob) Gillings of Oscoda and Victoria (Grant) Duley of Sandusky; brother-in-law, Joseph (Vera) Wainwright of Tawas City; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Grace Potter and Jean Williams; one brother, Gerald Bronson; many brothers and sisters-in-law; and dearest friend, Theresa Sunday.
