GILES, Orville Willis
In hospital at Almonte on Friday, September 30, 1983. Orville W. Giles. Beloved husband of the late Catherine McDonald and beloved father of Desmond and Mrs. George Larocque (Frances), both of Almonte. Stepfather of Mrs. Mabel Houston and Mrs. Margaret Gilmour of Almonte. Dear brother of Mrs. Lillian Sweeney of Almonte and Milton of Carleton Place. Predeceased by three brothers, Leslie, Resford, and Lloyd and one sister Mrs. Edna Code. Also survived by nine grand children and 14 great grandchildren. Rested at the Gamble & Comba Funeral Home, 127 Church Street, Almonte from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday and where service was held on Monday at 2 p.m. Rev. Ed Smith officiating. Interment Auld Kirk Cemetery.

Catherine (daughter of Hugh McDonald and Margaret O'Connor) was born in 1890 in Corkery, Huntley township, Carleton County, Ontario, Canada; died on 18 Sep 1965 in Ottawa, Ottawa Municipality, Ontario, Canada; was buried in Auld Kirk Cemetery, Ramsay, Mississippi Mills, Lanark County, Ontario, Canada. Passed away peacefully with family by his side on July 23, 2023 at the Almonte Country Haven.

Of Almonte, Ontario, at the age of 95.
Predeceased by his wife Elizabeth May. Survived by his daughters Penny (Ronald), and Paisley (Ron). Proud "Grandpa" of Trevor, Trisha, Kyle, Kayla and Koby, and "Poppa" to his great-grandchildren Jake, MacKenzie, Emily, Kane, Kole, Evey, Karson, and Kassidy May. Missed by his special friend Bram.
