    JOYNT _ Verda Patricia (nee McConnell), born 26 February, 1914, Shaunavon, Saskatchewan,
    died 23 August, 2004, St. Vincent's Langara, Vancouver, B.C. Predeceased by her husband
    Don; her parents; and her brother Jerome. Verda trained to be a Registered Nurse at Grey
    Nun's Hospital in Regina, graduating in 1937, and working there after graduation. She
    moved to Vancouver in 1945 and worked as a Public Health Nurse with the City of
    Vancouver from 1948 until her retirement in 1972. She is survived by her sister-in-law
    Regina; her nephew Tim and his wife Susan; her niece Staz; and her grandnephew Michael.
    The Funeral Mass will be at St. Theresa's Catholic Church, 5146 Laurel, Burnaby, 31
    August, at 1:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the St. Vincent's Hospital
    Foundation would be appreciated.

    Verda married Richard Donald Robert "Don" Joynt on 3 Aug 1942 in Meyronne, Saskatchewan, Canada. Richard (son of William Daniel "Bill" Joynt and Zelma Helena Wilson) was born on 11 Nov 1901 in Masham, Outaouais Region, Quebec, Canada; died on 1 Mar 1981 in Burnaby Heritage Cemetery, Burnaby, Greater Vancouver Regional District, British Columbia, Canada; was buried in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Burnaby, Greater Vancouver Regional District, British Columbia, Canada.
