    Died:
Grace Isabella (Kirkness) Leggott was born on 21 August 1915 on a farm North of Lanigan to James and Luella (Mertz) Kirkness. She had two brothers, Anson and Bill, and a sister Eva. Her mother died following childbirth when Grace was seven years old. She attended Elmsville School and the first day of school she broke her collar bone when she fell off the wagon. She met Harold Leggott at a school dance and married him on 5 November 1938. They raised their five children: Tom, Luella, Isabel, Irene and Nancy on a farm southeast of Lanigan. She raised chickens and turkeys, and milked cows, and as well, grew a large garden and made preserves. Harold and Grace loved to square dance, entertain family and friends and take holidays at Waskesiu. She encouraged each of their children to complete their grade twelve and then take a secondary education of their own choice. After her children had left home, Grace worked at the Lanigan Hospital for twelve years and baby sat children for a few more years.

Harold and Grace moved into Lanigan in 1972 and continued gardening. They took their first trip on their 40th anniversary to Hawaii and returned there many times to vacation. They also enjoyed other trips to the states, B.C., AB and Manitoba. She took each daughter with her on trips to Scotland to where her grandparents and father once lived. Her hobbies were quilting, knitting, taking pictures, and up dating her diaries and photo albums. She loved growing flowers. Harold passed away in December 1999 and Grace lived in her own home until December 4, 2013 when she moved to Central Parkland Lodge in Lanigan. This is where she lived until her passing on 21 July 2015, just one month short of her 100th birthday. She was buried in Lanigan Cemetery.

Grace married Harold Clark Leggott in 1938. Harold (son of Thomas William Leggott and Annie Eliza Clark) was born on 10 Mar 1907 in Sarnia, Lambton County, Ontario, Canada; died on 17 Dec 1999 in Lanigan, Saskatoon Census Division, Saskatchewan, Canada; was buried in Lanigan Cemetery, Lanigan, Saskatoon Census Division, Saskatchewan, Canada.
