In hospital at Barrie, Ontario on Sunday, February 13, 2000. Ruth Barr of Carleton Place, Ontario in her 72nd year. Beloved wife of the late Lyle Conley Nichols. Loved mother of Ross Nichols (Sheila) of Calgary, Glenda Gaffney (Dr. Gregory) of Penetanguishene, Lois Ann Graham (Mac) of Carleton Place, Paul Nichols (Patricia) of Carleton Place and Allison Curtis (Vernon) of Brockville. Cherished grandmother of Danielle, T.J., Kyle, Christina, Andrew, Michael, Brian, Amyko, Elijah, Tirzah and Rebecca. Predeceased by her brother Wilbert Barr of Almonte. Friends may call at the ALAN R. BARKER FUNERAL HOME, 19 McArthur Avenue, Carleton Place on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm and on Friday from 12 noon to 1 :30pm. Funeral Service will be held in St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Carleton Place on Friday at 2 pm with the Reverend Hugh Jack officiating. A reception will follow in the church hall.
