    ?/b?World War II Veteran, Spitfire Pilot, Westmount Squadron #401 Son of the late Helen and Dr. Joe Coffin of Plaster Rock, N.B. On October 31st, 2005 while surrounded by family, Bill, a devoted and beloved husband of Sheila (nee Mutch) passed away in his 86th year. He was a loving and cherished father to Cynthia, Karen, Sandra and Bill. His grandchildren; Lauren, Garrett, Shane, Alanna, Alex, Kenzie and Taylin will miss him terribly. Predeceased by his infant son Blair Alexander and brother Robert. Special thanks to Dr. Verma who was a kindred spirit in his fight against cancer and is a credit to his profession. We will be eternally grateful to all who assisted in caring and treating our father, including Dr. Eapen, PSW's Jennifer and Stella, and especially Dr. Coulombe who allowed us to fulfill his wishes to pass away at home. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at a service to be held at the Pinecrest Remembrance Chapel (2500 Baseline Rd., Ottawa) on Friday, November 4th at 2 p.m. followed by inurnment. In lieu of flowers a donation to the Palliative Care Physician Dr. Louise Coulombe would be greatly appreciated.

    William married Sheila Corianne Mutch on 5 Mar 1952 in Ottawa, Ottawa Municipality, Ontario, Canada. Sheila (daughter of Leslie Alexander Mutch and Corra May Travis) was born on 20 Apr 1928 in Manitoba, Canada; died on 5 Jul 2014 in Ottawa Municipality, Ontario, Canada; was buried on 10 Jul 2014.     It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden death of our Brother, Bill on August 13th. We are tremendously grateful to the "Dream Team" at the Ottawa Civic Intensive Care Unit for their valiant efforts to save him. During his courageous fight he was surrounded by his family until he succumbed.
    Bill will be reunited with his Daughter, Paige and his Father. He will be mourned by his Mother, Sheila, his precious Daughters; Alex, Kenzie and Taylin, his Sisters; Cynthia (Dave Meyers), Karen and Sandra (David Berg), his Nieces and Nephews; Lauren, Garrett, Shane and Alanna. Friends are welcome to celebrate his life at Pinecrest Chapel, 2500 Baseline Road on Monday, August 20th at 2:00 p.m. with a reception to follow.
