    ?b?Ann C. Davis Stone?/b? of River Ranch, Fla., and Wilmington, Vt., died Monday, December 26, 2011, at Lake Wales Medical Center, following a sudden illness. She was born on August 22, 1946, daughter of the late Philip L. and Eleanor Cutting Davis of Wilmington She grew up in Wilmington and was a graduate of Wilmington High School, Class of 1964, and attended Radiology Technician School in Greenfield, Ma. She married Robert G. Stone on April 20, 1968 in Wilmington, Vt. and together they made a home in Whitingham, Vt., and raised two sons, Jeff and Duane. Mrs. Stone worked for many years as a Radiology Technician in Greenfield, Mass., and retired from Southwestern Vermont Medical Center in Bennington, Vt. Mrs. Stone was active in the community, serving on the Whitingham School Board, Old Home Week Committee and various civic organizations and causes. She was very active in the lives of her family and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. After their retirement, she and her husband especially enjoyed travelling the country in their motor home and enjoyed trips to Alaska, the Southwest, the Grand Canyon, Michigan's Upper Peninsula, and all throughout the Eastern Seaboard. For the past 8 years, Mrs. Stone and her husband made their home in River Ranch, Fla., and returned to Vermont in the summers. She was very active in the community, and enjoyed sharing her skills and creativity as a seamstress with her friends. She also loved gardening and photography. Mrs. Stone especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren Daniel, Annika and Ava and made many projects with them, and loved taking pictures of their activities and vacations when they visited. Mrs. Stone is survived by her husband Robert, her sons, Jeff and his children Daniel and Annika of Chichester, N.H. His son Duane and his wife Terri and daughter Ava of Naples, Maine, her Uncle Donald Davis and his wife Helen of Edmonds, Wash., and many cousins, nephews, nieces and friends. A memorial service for her friends and family in Florida was held December 29, 2011 at the River Ranch Resort Chapel in River Ranch, Florida. A 2nd memorial service for her friends and family in the New England area as well as committal services will be held in the spring. Memorial donations may be made to the Historical Society of Wilmington, PO Box 1751, Wilmington, VT 05363.
