William F. Crawford, one of Macon countys oldest residents, died Tuesday morning at his home on his farm nine miles north of the city at the age of 80 years. Mr. Crawford was a native of Fayette county, Pa and came to Macon county in 1856 and has been a well known farmer and stock raiser for many years.
Mr. Crawford leaves a widow and two daughters, Mrs. Ella McGuire of Maroa and Mrs. Mary Crabtree of Ohio.
The funeral will be held at the residence Wednesday afternoon at 2. Rev. J.C.. Hanna, pastor of the Maroa Presbyterian church conducting the services. The body will be buried in the Maroa cemetery.
