    Margaret McTavish, wife of Mr James W. Thom, was born at Greenoch, Scotland, July 1, 1879. A six years of age she came to Canada. Following a lengthy illness she passed away on Thursday, September 4, in her 69th year The funeral was held from her late home on the seventh line of Ramsay on Monday, September 8th, at 2 p.m., and was conducted by the Rev T.R. Hutcheson of Barnet, Vermont, who is preaching at present at the Reformed Presbyterian Church in Almonte. Interment was at the Auld Kirk Cemetery. Deceased was a life-long a faithful member of the Reformed Presbyterian Church. She was also a member of the Women's Missionary Society. She was preceded in death by her sister, Mary (Mrs Robert Waddell) several years ago. She is survived by her husband, Mr James W. Thom, one daughter, Hazel (Mrs Percy Drynan), and two sons, Gordon and Kenneth. Three grandchildren also survive. She leaves six foster brother and sisters, Mr Norman Bowes, Mrs Samuel Burns, Mrs Alexander Burns, Mrs Alan Bowes, Miss Elizabeth Bowes, and Mr Lester Bowes. The pallbearers were Mr Robert Bowes, Mr James Morton, Mr William Burns, Mr Alex Burns, Mr Milton Bowes, and Mr Edward Roe. Friends who were present from a distance included those from Bellamy and Fitzroy. The funeral was largely attended by friends who came to pay a last tribute to the deceased.
