Percy McKinley Drynan of Ramsay Township passed away after a short illness at his home on Tuesday morning March 17th, at the age of 50. He was born Dec 11, 1902, in Carleton Place, later going West with his parents. In 1911, they returned East taking up farming on the 9th line of Ramsay. Mr Drynan was the only son of the late Jas. Drynan and Mary Jane McKinley. On June 1, 1945, he was married to Hazel Thom daughter of Jas. Thom and the late Margaret McTavish. He continued to farm, operating his father's farm as well as his farm where he resided on the 7th line of Ramsay. The funeral which was held at his home on Thursday, March 19, at 2 o'clock, was largely attended by friends and neighbours. Rev Jas. Ritchie, minister of Almonte Presbyterian Church, of which deceased was a member, conducted the service. The pallbearers were: Norman Paul, Edwin Thompson, Earl Caldwell, D.H. Lowry, Geo Lowry and Boyd Jamieson Interment was in the Auld Kirk Cemetery. Among those present at the funeral were friends from Toronto, Ottawa, Smiths Falls and Perth.

Percy married Marguerite Hazel Thom on 1 Jun 1945. Marguerite (daughter of James Waddell Thom and Margaret McTavish) was born on 25 Aug 1903 in Ramsay Township, Lanark County, Ontario, Canada; died on 21 Apr 1999 in Almonte, Mississippi Mills, Lanark County, Ontario, Canada; was buried on 24 Apr 1999 in Auld Kirk Cemetery, Ramsay, Mississippi Mills, Lanark County, Ontario, Canada.
