    George Elliott Van Iderstine. age 78 years, of 1805 Clarence Avenue, formerly of Moose Jaw. Sask.. occurred in a local hospital on March 17. 1971. The funeral service will be held on Saturday March 29 at 19.30 am. from McKague's Funeral Home, conducted by Rev. D. J. H. Cook. A graveside committal service will be held at 3 p m. in the Rosedale Cemetery in Moose Jaw, conducted bv Dr Homer Lane. Surviving are: his wife. Bessie, one daughter Mrs. Vernon (Joan) King of Fort Franis, Ontario: one son. Kenneth D. Van Iderstine of Moose Jaw; predeceased by a son. Alan George in 1968 also surviving are five grand children, one sister. Miss Rea van Idenstine. of Charlottetown. P.EJ : three brothers, Ira of Victoria, Davis of Winnipeg and Roy of Regina. Mr Van Iderstine was born in Hunter River, PEI, coming west to Moose Jaw in 1912. In 1920 he married Miss Bessie Scott. Mr Van Iderstine was active in amateur radio in Moose Jaw with 10 AB the forerunner of CHAB Moose Jaw. In 1950 he moved to Saskatoon and worked for manv vears for the Royal Shoe Store and Brickers Shoes before ill health forced his retirement in 1968.
    Interment will be made in Rosedale cemetery, Moose Jaw. Guest parking directly south of the Funeral Home, Third Ave. and 29th St.

    George married Elizabeth Mary Ann "Bessie" Scott in 1920 in Moose Jaw, Moose Jaw Census Division, Saskatchewan, Canada. Elizabeth (daughter of William Henry Scott and Rachel Evans) was born on 22 Jan 1895 in Almonte, Lanark County, Ontario, Canada; died on 8 Dec 1982 in Moose Jaw, Moose Jaw Census Division, Saskatchewan, Canada; was buried on 11 Dec 1982 in Rosedale Cemetery, Moose Jaw, Moose Jaw Census Division, Saskatchewan, Canada. Born at Moose Jaw, Sask., Mr. Van Iderstine had lived in Calgary since 1952 where he operated Equipment Rentals. Besides his loving wife, he is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Van Iderstine, Saskatoon, a brother. Ken Van Iderstine, Moose Jaw, a sister, Mrs. Vern (Joan) King, Kenora, Ont.
    Services conducted by Rev. Dr. Robert Tillman will be held in MclNNIS and HOLLOWAY'S "Park Memorial Chapel" (15th Ave. and 4th St. S.W.) Thursday at 3:30 p.m. Interment Queen's Park Cemetery.

    M. Joan King, a resident of Winnipeg, Manitoba, passed away April 4, 2019 at St. Boniface General Hospital.
    She is survived by her daughters, Debby (Mario) and Barb King, granddaughters, Cassandra (Kurtis) (great-grandchildren, Justin and Scarlette) and Katarina, sister-in-law Neta Van Iderstine, nephews, Craig, Glenn (Jahzi), Jeff (Darcia), and great-nephews, Carson, Cooper and Adam.
    She was predeceased by her husband Vernon King, parents George and Bessie Van Iderstine, her brothers Alan and Kenneth and brother-in-law Howard King.

    Joan had worked at BDO Dunwoody, was a member of the Kinettes and a leader of C.G.I.T. in Kenora, ON, and retired from Revenue Canada and was a member of PEO in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
