    In Memorial Hospital Carleton Place, on Wednesday November 16, 1960. William Howard Mains beloved husband of Luella May Featherston and dear father of Raymond and Lester, in his 78th year. Resting at Fleming Brothers Funeral Home, Lake Avenue West. Funeral service Friday, November 18 at 2 p.m. Interment Munster Union Cemetery.

    Peacefully passed away at the Smiths Falls Hospital on Tuesday, June 10, 2008, age 81 years. Beloved husband of the late Edna Jean McKay. Loving father of Cheryl Cooper (Raymond). Cherished grandfather of Nancy Thompson (Doug) and Jim Bowes (Carolyne) and great grandfather of Randal, Dale, Katelyn, Jessie, Erika and Vanessa. Dear brother of the late Raymond Mains (the late Mabel). Sadly missed by his nephews Bill Mains (Cheryl), David Mains (Cheryl), Robert Mains (Nicola) and Howard Mains (Victoria). Friends may call at the Lannin Funeral Home, Smiths Falls 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM on Wednesday. Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Thursday, June 12, 2008 at 11 AM. Interment Hillcrest Cemetery. In memory of Lester, donations to the Smiths Falls Community Hospital Foundation or Trinity United Church or the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
