  	Catherine "Katie" Cain, age 83, of Manitowoc, died on Sunday morning, Jan. 6, 2008, at her residence. Katie was born on Nov. 14, 1924, in Nadeau, Mich., daughter of the late Clarence and Lena (Thiry) Servais. On May 5, 1922, she married Gordan Cain in Waukegan, Ill. The couple celebrated their 47th wedding anniversary on May 5, 1999. Gordon preceded her in death on April 13, 2000. Katie is survived by her daughter: Mary Christine Krogh, Two Rivers; one son and daughter-in-law: John and Vicki Cain, Valders; six grandchildren: Daniel Luebke and significant other, Jenine; Shawn (Melissa) Luebke; Lena (Chris) Moder; Chad (Nicole) Luebke; Sheri (Corie) Denault; and Tanyia VanWagoner and fianc?, Matt Sorenson; 10 great-grandchildren: Cassie, Alex, Hannah, D.J., Trevor, Trinton, Traven, Kamdyn, Kiana and Kaitlyn; and two sisters and one brother-in-law: Lucille Renier, Sturgeon Bay; and Margaret and Louis Skinkis, Rio Creek. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Katie was preceded in death by one sister: Virginia. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., on Thursday, Jan. 10, 2008, at the Pfeffer Funeral Home and Cremation Care Center, Manitowoc, and at 10:30 a.m., on Thursday, Jan. 10, 2008, at St. Francis of Assisi on Marshall. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Carl Schmitt, with entombment to follow at Calvary Mausoleum, Manitowoc.
